Seguramente a estas alturas de la película la mayoría de usuarios tienen una cuenta en Google, sin embargo, es para los que no tienen una a quién se dirige esta nueva posibilidad. A través de docs.google.com/demo se ofrece una mini versión de prueba de Google Docs sin necesidad de tener una cuenta sea de Google o Google Apps.
Una vez en la web correspondiente nos encontramos con un documento con una serie de instrucciones ya escritas que podremos editar y además compartir con todos aquellos usuarios que queramos a través del enlace correspondiente. Pero cuidado, esta opción para compartir o colaborar con otros usuarios en el documento sólo estará disponible en las 24 horas posteriores a su creación, por lo que a partir de ese momento perderemos todo lo que hayamos escrito.
Además, esta versión de prueba no sólo está limitada a los documentos de texto, sino que también podemos crear y compartir una hoja de cálculo o un dibujo de la misma forma.
Lo que “Google” pretende es capturar todos los posibles usuarios que hasta ahora han venido utilizando Microsoft Office, y ésta es una buena forma para atraer a aquellos que desconocían la existencia de Google Docs hasta ahora o que sienten que la necesidad de registrarse es una barrera para el uso del servicio.
Donde sí puede tener una aplicación clara es a nivel empresarial, sobre todo cuando se intentan implantar nuevas formas de trabajo o colaboración entre los empleados y se les quiere ofrecer una visión rápida y sencilla de cómo funciona “Google Docs”, sin necesidad de entrar en explicaciones de qué es la nube.

Docs me parece que aún tiene que mejorar para ser una alternativa seria a Office o OpenOffice, principalmente lo que menos me gusta es el no poder ver las hojas separadas en un documento, o por lo menos no encuentro la opción, no entiendo como algo tan útil no viene por defecto.
¿Te refieres a las hojas de cálculo? Puedes cambiar entre hojas símplemente haciendo clic sobre la hoja correspondiente. Así de simple :S

8Me parece genial, pero la constante tiempo de 24 horas de utilización del documento creado es un poco poco. De todas formas es "de prueba" y, presumiblemente, el probador se creará (o no) la cuenta Google para poder utilizarlo.
En cualquier caso es un punto a favor para Google.

Imagino que estaréis de broma. Esto me suena a la inacabable (e imagino que inacabada) lista de artículos inculcándonos lo extraordinario que es el Google Buzz y lo "despistados" que son los usuarios por no utilizar una herramienta tan extraordinaria.
Google Docs tiene buenas cosas, ¿pero competir con Office en el campo profesional? ¿Y su gran estrategia es proporcionar demos gratuitas?
Enfín... para empezar un profesional que no es capaz de perder 30 segundos en hacerse una cuenta para probar en condiciones un servicio tiene tanto de profesional como yo de bailarina de ballet. Seamos serios, por dios.

Yo me sigo quedando con Zoho. Lo veo más completo. Y el poder tener varios documentos abiertos en varias pestañas, pero sin salir de la pestaña principal (espero explicarme bien) para mi es muy comodo. Es algo que le falta a Google Docs y que no se muy bien la razón de que no lo hayan implementado todabía.

Y encimas te puedes validar directamente a través de google sin tener que crear cuenta nueva.
